Does Math Converge to Calculus?

Learning calculus requires mastery of algebra and strong intuition from geometry. With a wide range of applications, it is a natural goal for high school students. However, it is just one of many beautiful mathematical disciplines.

There are generalizations of geometry, more applications of algebra, and countless other mathematically exciting topics that can be just as beautiful and may be more useful for you! We introduce these topics, then guide inquisitive minds to dive deeper and interrogate foundational math concepts. Whether you are looking for adventure or deeper understanding, these journeys will nurture your human intelligence.

How are Adventures different than School?

Adventures at Diverging Mathematics are explorations which evolve based on the interests and questions of the individual. These explorations inevitably diverge from a typical course because they adapt to your interests and questions!

Adventures are roughly organized into the "trail heads" listed below. This is not an exhaustive list!

Each of these trails are designed to reinterrogate ideas from your previous courses. Wrestling with the consequences of small changes will require reevaluating basic definitions and ideas that increase fluency and foster creativity.
